Welcome to looking Back

Follow Johnathan as he explores his past memories in order to overcome his trauma. 

Looking Back is 2d Puzzle platformer where you control two characters at the same time.  John and his Inner Self.

Controls

Run

A or D will move John and his Inner Self left or right.

Jump

Pressing space while make Johnathan and his Inner Self jump.

Pause Menu

Press Escape

Objectives

In Johnathan's mind scape you will see different sets of icons.

The left is Johnathan and the right is his Inner Self.

John must face his painful memories from his past. In order to do so he needs to walk into one, which will spawn the other for his Inner Self to walk into. Once both memories are collected a set of door ways in his memories will appear.

The Inner Self must find the green door to teleport Johnathan to the blue door. 

Once the Inner Self collects his memory link, another will spawn for Johnathan to collect. Once both links have been collected it will bring you to the next level.

These gnarly looking plants are doubt manifested in Johnathan's mind scape. They are dangerous and will restart the level if you come in contact with them.

This is my first game jam solo (and game I've ever made on my own), I will be honest I had no idea what I was doing most of the time. I had a ton of fun though and I will definitely be making a habit of doing more. I wanna thank Lost Relic Games a huge thank you for hosting the jam and having such a wonderful and helpful community. I look forward to play some games!
